Fuse is coming along great.

I've joined the two sides of the fuse. I used Thick CA followed by wood glue to give me the strongest joint possible, and to fill some of the gaps to get a nice square fuse.


Here is a quick shot of the fuse sides before assembly. I'll take some more images tomorrow.

Well got a lot of work done today. The bottom wing is completed. I still have to finish shaping the leading edge on both wings, but I can really do that at any time. I need to make some type of filtering system to clean the air in my build room. I'm coughing up balsa dust tonight and everything in the room is covered with a nice dusting of balsa...

I started the fuse as well. I will be adding 1/64th ply joiners to all the joints. I think it not only looks good, but adds considerable strength.

Lower wing completed.

I've attached the two outer wing panels to the center section and started shaping the leading edges. What a lot of planeing and sanding to do. I may just take it out on the porch and do it so I don't end up killing myself with balsa dust.

So far so good. I fully expect to be starting on the fuse shortly.
